The Piaget IQ Math™ Competition is open to children ages 7 to 12 years old and is held on each day of The Kidz Academy from the 16th-18th March 2012. Participants will be divided into categories with 3 top winners from each category to be crowned after the Final Round.

• Primary 5 & 6: Pentomino Puzzles

• Preliminary rounds - 16th & 17th March 2012 (3.30pm - 4.30pm)
• Finals - 18th March 2012 (3.30pm - 4.30pm)
• Prize presentation - 18th March 2012 (4.20pm) for all winners

Judging Criteria (judged by a panel of education professionals):

• Creativity: Ability to weave the given items into the storyline in a creative manner
• Interesting and original storyline: ability to use original ideas to compose the story
• Development of plot: Clear narrative structure in the story
• Writing skills: Use of effective vocabulary, varied sentences and effective style of writing
• Command of language: Grammatical and spelling accuracy
